With this app, you can quickly record your own samples, import audio files, trim sample start and end points, preview every drum pad, restore the factory sound kit, and connect directly to your Fingersonic Beats device to burn sounds into the drum machine.
This release is currently available for Mac ARM / Apple Silicon only. Support for other systems, including Intel Mac and Windows, will be released in future updates.

First Launch On Mac
Because this app is not yet notarized by Apple, macOS may block it the first time you open it.
If that happens:
- Open System Settings
- Go to Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to the security message
- Click Open Anyway
- Open the app again
After this first approval, the app should launch normally.
Microphone Permission
The app runs locally on your computer and opens a browser-based interface. When you use the recording feature for the first time, your browser may ask for microphone permission.
Please choose Allow so the app can record samples.
Main Interface
The left side shows a visual layout of the Fingersonic Beats drum pads. You can click any pad on the device image, or use the pad buttons below it.
When you select a pad, the app will immediately play a preview of the sound assigned to that pad. This works for both factory sounds and your own recorded or imported samples.
The top area lets you choose or manage presets. You can select an existing kit, create a new preset, rename it, or remove a custom preset. If you try to add a preset number that already exists, the app will show a warning.
Sampling And Editing
Select a drum pad first, then choose one of the following options:
- Choose Audio: Import an audio file from your computer
- Record: Record a new sample using your microphone
- Preview: Play the current sound on the selected pad
After importing or recording a sample, the waveform will appear in the Sample Editor.
You can adjust:
- Start: Set where the sample begins
- End: Set where the sample stops
- Volume: Adjust the sample level
- Normalize Volume: Automatically balance the sample volume
All custom samples are designed for one-touch playback. This means one tap will play the sample through, which is suitable for drum and percussion sounds.
Factory Sounds
The app includes the factory Fingersonic Beats sound kit.
You can preview factory sounds directly inside the app. You can also upload the factory kit back to the device if you want to restore the original sounds.
Capacity
The Capacity section shows how much memory your current kit uses.
If the kit becomes too large, shorten your samples or remove unused edits before burning the sound kit to the device.
Clearing Edits
- Clear Current Preset removes all edits from the currently selected preset
- Clear All Edits removes all custom edits from all presets
Use these options carefully.
Connecting To Fingersonic Beats
To burn sounds into the device, first put Fingersonic Beats into hotspot mode.
Hold the leftmost Hi-hat pad, then quickly press the knob 5 times.
After the device enters hotspot mode, connect your Mac to the Fingersonic Beats Wi-Fi hotspot.
The Wi-Fi name is usually Fingersonic, and the password is usually 88888888.
Then return to the app and check Connected to Fingersonic hotspot.
The app will detect the device automatically. This checkbox is not just a manual confirmation. The app will actually check whether the Fingersonic Beats device is responding.
If the device cannot be found, the app will show a connection warning. In that case, make sure your Mac is connected to the Fingersonic Wi-Fi hotspot and try again.
Burning Sounds To The Device
Once the device is detected, you can use:
- Burn Current Kit: Upload your current custom kit to Fingersonic Beats
- Upload Factory Kit: Upload the original factory sound kit to Fingersonic Beats
During upload, keep the app open and do not disconnect from the Fingersonic Beats hotspot.
The timer will continue until the upload succeeds or clearly fails. After a successful upload, the device may write the data and restart.
Basic Workflow
- Open Fingersonic Beats Sampler
- Select a preset
- Select a drum pad
- Import or record a sample
- Trim the sample start and end points
- Adjust volume if needed
- Preview the pad
- Repeat for other pads
- Put Fingersonic Beats into hotspot mode
- Connect your Mac to the Fingersonic Wi-Fi hotspot
- Enter the password 88888888 if required
- Detect the device in the app
- Burn the current kit
